​We wanted to connect with you about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how this directly impacts our communities. ​The well-being and safety of our students and their families is our top priority and will always be on our hearts with all decisions we make as a cooperative. Individual mentors will reach out to their students to co-create a plan of action (when needed) and see what will work best for them and their families. If you have questions, please reach out to your mentor individually. ​

General Resources:
If you are a student in Denver Public Schools, please click here to see where you can access free meals. For university students, learn here how Uhaul is providing storage for students who need it when they can't come back after spring break. If you are in Denver, stay up to date here for resources, for Kansas City, stay up to date here. For students who don't have access to internet due to low income, you can learn about Comcast's Internet Essential package here that is free for the next two months. Click here for an overview of unemployment extensions and stimulus check information that was just approved by the government. For an update on applying for small business loans click here. Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition compiled a resource list here focused on the immigrant community and Colorado People's Action compiled one here focused on economic justice. I Am Me Mentors Educational Support:
​As students are asked to stay home, I Am Me Mentors is offering to teach content relevant to where students are at in school to keep up with math, literacy and other subjects to individuals or groups for no extra curriculum development charge. We would also like to remind our students that this is a great time to get ahead on SATs, ACTs, GRE, Praxis, and any other tests that you may be taking towards your future career goals. It is also the perfect time to work on college and graduate studies applications, preparing for your next steps! We will also be offering an online math support course that is inspired by the game, Stardew Valley. If you are interested in learning more, email us here at I Am Me Mentors with the subject line "math support course - Stardew Valley"! If you would like to use free subscriptions that online education companies are sharing in leiu COVID-19, I Am Me Mentors can support by strategically aligning material to student's level/standards/goals, incorporating learning style variation, accommodating special education, providing coursework support, evaluating, and creating a progress report for their classroom teacher.
