Charles Acevedo

Charles Acevedo (He/Him/His) is our second local swim instructor who fell in love with competitive swimming in high school and taught pre-comp at DACA & Waterworks before becoming a senior instructor at The Swim Pro. He has 6 years of full-time professional swim instruction experience with all ages, including students with physical impairments, cognitive delays, autism & ADHD. He tailors his lessons to each student's skill-level and physical needs. Well-known for his intentional lesson plans, he has a fast, yet frustration-free, progression into conditioning & other individualized goals. Charles specializes in teaching comfortable & injury-free freestyle and a powerful & effective breaststroke. He is excited to merge these curricular elements with I Am Me Mentors' robust curriculum and advance our swimmers towards their technique and competition goals. With previous experience collaborating on teaching styles and curriculum at neighboring swim schools with Darcy, we are thrilled to grow the I Am Me Mentors Swim Instruction team with Charles.
