Hana (they/them) is a registered nurse (RN) with over a decade of science tutoring experience at the high school and college level. Since childhood, they have had a fascination with science, experimentation, and teaching, and love to help even the most disinterested student see the joy of uncovering the mysteries of the natural world and the human body. As a primary care nurse working in an interdisciplinary clinic for the elderly, they have great familiarity with the roles of other allied health professionals (e.g. physical/occupational therapists, registered dieticians, social workers) in patient care and can help “health-curious” students and adult learners explore what role might be the best fit for them in the healthcare world. Passionate about fostering critical inquiry in learners of all ages, they also love to collaborate with parents of children as young as 2-3 in designing low-cost, high-impact activities to facilitate children’s exploration of their own world and creativity.
