ROWEN THOMAS (they.them/we)

Rowen Thomas (they.them/we) is an educator who has worked with 8-12 graders, college and university students, graduate students, adults, and professional learners for over a decade. Their mentoring and tutoring approach centralizes the development of critical thinking, problem solving, and holistic student development tailored to the needs of each individual student.

FRANCISCO GALLEGOS (he/him)

Francisco (he/him) is a bilingual educator  with a master's in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. He focuses on bilingual education for students of all ages and also offers a robust content education for elementary (K-8) school age students.

COLLEGE ESSAY MENTORING SPECIALIST

MICHAELA MILLER (she/hers)

With a BA and MA in Bilingual Education and 10 years of teaching, tutoring and college essay mentoring experience, Michaela (she/her) will empower you to bring your whole self out and strategize your college and career-readiness path! ​As daunting as it was, tackling 33 vague college essay prompts helped her discover her passions and aspirations and everyday she supports this introspective process in career, college and graduate-school bound students.

MATH INSTRTUCTOR

ALEXIS GRAY (she/her)

Alexis Gray (she/her) is a dedicated math tutor who has tutored a wide variety of students for the past three years, including middle schoolers, high schoolers, and college students. She works with a variety of neurodiverse students, including those on the autism spectrum, those with ADD/ADHD, and those with schizophrenia. She is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics at MSU Denver to dedicate herself full-time to math tutoring.

SWIM INSTRUCTOR & FINSWIMMING/MERMAIDING SPECIALIST

DARCY HUDSON (He/Him/His)

Darcy Hudson is a local swim instructor who has spent his career in aquatic, early childhood and adaptive education, teaching swimmers of all ages, from all walks of life. e selected Darcy for his emphasis on swim foundational skills that align with Michaela's original curriculum: muscle relaxation, nose bubbles and stroke efficiency for sound technique!

SWIM INSTRUCTOR 

CHARLES ACEVEDO  (He/Him/His)

Charles Acevedo is our second local swim instructor who fell in love with competitive swimming in high school and taught pre-comp at DACA & Waterworks before becoming a senior instructor at The Swim Pro. He has 6 years of full-time professional swim instruction experience with all ages, including students with physical impairments, cognitive delays, autism & ADHD.
